July 2006
ATLANTA - Online Casino software developer RealTime Gaming announced the roll out of new version 6.0 of its popular online gaming software platform. The first new release of 2006, version 6.0 boasts a host of new games as well as some innovative new administrative tools.
Topping the list of new game offerings are six new “Real Series” slot titles. The Real Series games (an RTG proprietary style of slot game) have become staples of the RealTime gaming offering.
“Real Series slots have really been top performers so far,” explains RealTime Dir. Product Management Chuck Corcoran. “The way the graphics, animation, sounds and bonus features all work together – plus the thematic flexibility of the games – it just adds up to a wildly popular slot format.”
New Real Series titles delivered in version 6.0 include “Golden Glove”, “Hillbillies”, “Honey to the Bee”, “Mermaid Queen”, “Realm of Riches” and “Outta this World” – an early favorite among players. There are two other non-slot games included in the release, the new table game “Vegas Three Card Rummy” and a new video poker game, “7 Stud Poker”.
In addition to new downloadable titles, there are also eight new Flash game titles enabling instant play with no software download. Flash games are especially appealing to players that log on to play from a computer other than their own personal machine, whether at work, on the road, or at an Internet café.
“Flash games continue to become more and more important in offering players flexibility as to where, when and how they play. When it comes to our Flash games, the experience is just as rich and exciting as our download games – it's added flexibility without sacrificing the gaming experience,” says Corcoran. For version 6.0, new Flash titles include Baccarat, four video poker titles and even three Real Series slots.
Flash games also have the added operator benefit of interacting with players directly on a casino's web site (as opposed to downloaded games on a player's desktop), an especially attractive feature for casino operators that also operate sports books.
In addition to the slew of new games, version 6.0 also packs a punch in terms of new administrative tools with the introduction of the new Dashboard feature. A customizable, multi-page portal system, Dashboard displays up-to-the-minute actionable information for a single casino. The text-and-graphics displays deliver critical alerts when casino conditions rapidly change, giving operators the heads up information they need to operate efficiently. “We already had one of the most robust back-ends in the business, but Dashboard adds a powerful tool to the mix that's like nothing else in the market,” says Corcoran.
The version 6.0 roll out is the first of three planned for 2006 as a part of RTG's 3-per-year release pledge. Version 6.1 is set to launch later this summer, with 6.2 to follow in December. As for what future releases have in store, Corcoran offers this teaser: “There are some big, system-wide changes coming - you ain't seen nothing yet.”
